We had quite a turn out for the working party this past weekend (3/9/23). As a result we have moved the repeater antennas off the pump up mast and mounted them on the VARC tower. The pump up mast has been moved to one side to allow room for work to begin on the shed which will be attached to the cabin.

Over the weekend Stefano (G7RDX) and Phil (M0NVS) had been running the 24 hour 144 MHz VHF Championship contest. They were using a stacked pair of 12 ele’ beams giving them a total of over 400 QSOs. So an antenna change was required to replace the 6/4m beam back on the tower.
